Description

NA THIS PROJECT consists of upgrading the existing fire protection system at BIA schools: Wide Ruins, Dilcon and Santa Rosa in remote areas of Northeastern AZ. It includes replacement of the existing fire protection system, related architectural work to enclo se new piping system, and installation of new post indicator valves, tamper and flow switches/valve. The acquisition is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 23511/SIC Code 1711, with a size standard of $27.5 Million. Estim ated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1 Million. Bonding is required. See Section 00100 for site visit information. Estimated construction time: 150 days. This Bid package will be issued on 22 January, 2002 in CD-Rom format (it will not be iss ued on paper) and bids are due 21 February 2002. THIS PROJECT is advertised as an Invitation for Bids which shall result in a fixed-price contract. Large businesses are requ ired to submit a subcontracting plan at the time of submission of bids. The subcontracting goals are 61.4% for small business, 9.1% for small, disadvantaged business, 5.0% for women-owned small business, 1.5% for HUBZone small businesses and 3.0% for servi ce disabled veteran-owned small business. Bidders must register with the Central Conractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive a Government contract award. Register at http://www.ccr.gov or you may register on a paper form requested from DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 800-334-3414. This solicitation will be issued using electronic bid sets (EBS) and provided on compact disk-read only (CD-ROM) at no charge to all registered plan holders. A bidder must be registered on the Plan Holders List in order to recieve an IFB. The U.S Government is not responsible for providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation if you are not registered. Bidders must self-register at http://www.spa.usace.army.mil. The click on 'Contracting' fol lowed by 'Solicitation Number'. Click on the solicitation number you are interested in and 'Register for this Solicitation'. If you have not previously registered, click on 'New User' and follow the instructions for 'Login Information'. Once you've registe red for the Plan Holders List, the same user name and password is available for other projects. Then verify that your firm's name appears on the associated Plan Holders List for this solicitation.
