NA This announcement constitutes the intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, to issue a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented w ith additional information included in this notice. Solicitation documents will be furnished only on the website; hard copies will not be available. Offerors may view and/or download the solicitation and any possible amendments from the Internet at the fo llowing address: at https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil, on or after the issue date of the solicitation; however the official media of distribution for this solicitation is the website. NO WRITTEN OR FAX REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If any information changes du ring the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notice of the solicitation or any amendments. This solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP), Solicitation No. DACW61-02-R-0006. The solicitation will be furnished on the web on or about January 15, 2002. Prospective contractors are responsible for printing and forwarding printed, paper copies of the solicitation of their proposals. The closing date for receipt of offers is February 6, 2002 at 1415 hours EST. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-01. SCHEDULE: The prospective contractor will be required to provide all the necessary labor, materials and services and equipment to fabricate, preserve and package the following parts in accordance with the specifications and drawings incorporated in the so licitation: Eight (8) each molded rubber seat rings for 34? Fabri-Valves; Twenty-Four (24) each molded rubber seat rings for 26? Fabri-Valves; Two (2) each molded rubber seat rings for 26? Fabri-Valves; and Sixteen (16) each Fabri-Valves in accordance with the drawings and specifications, packaging, special markings required and delivery as stated in the solicitation. INSPECTION: The Government reserves the right to inspect the finished products at the point of fabrication prior to any wrapping and packin g. The Contractor shall notify the Government at least one week prior to wrapping the product for the performance of a possible site visit. DELIVERY: CLINS NO. 0001 THROUGH 0004 - The desired delivery for this requirement is within 30 calendar days from the date of an award. The required delivery is 45 calendar days from the date of an award. The Government is offering the use of Government-furnished property (molds) for use in the fabrication of the items. However, the contractor will be responsible for the shipping and handling cost of all the items from pick up and return to the Fort Mifflin Distribution Center. The contractor shall include the shipping costs in each of the respective line items. Final delivery will be to the Fort Mifflin Distribu tion Center, U. S. Army Reservation, 6400 Hog Island Road, Paschall Post Office Station, Philadelphia, PA 19153. EVALUATION FACTORS: The Government intends to award a firm fixed priced commercial order to a prospective contractor based on the following e valuation criteria. Delivery, packaging, marking and price are factors equally as important as technical. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder. Contractor must be CCR registered to be eligible for award. Prospective contractors can call the teleph one number 1-888-227-2423 or access the internet site at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil for information on how to get registered. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-3; Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, 52.212-4; Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Regis tration (CCR). This procurement is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 326291 with a small business classification of 500 employees.
