Description
The Bureau of Reclamation's Snake River Area Office has a = requirement for modifications to the switchyard and transmission line at = the Boise Diversion Dam, located approximately 7 miles SE of Boise, = Idaho, on the Boise River in Ada County. The principal components of = the work to be performed under these specifications include the = following: Selective demolition to remove existing concrete slab and to = construct an opening in the powerplant wall; furnishing and installing = chain link fence; excavation and placing and compacting backfill for = concrete slab and buried electrical materials; constructing a = cast-in-place concrete slab for switchyard; furnishing and installing an = outdoor unit substation which includes a dry-type transformer; = furnishing and installing a ground mat system including grounding to = equipment and fencing; furnishing and installing conduit; replacing = 23-kV insulators with 34.5-kV insulators; furnishing and snstalling a = wood pole structure with distribution fuse cutout; Furnishing and = installing a no-load-break disconnect switch; furnishing and installing = unit breakers; furnishing and installing the station service unit = substation; furnishing and installing the combination transformer/load = center; furnishing and installing three-phase cable bus; furnishing and = installing automatic transfer switch; removing and modifying existing = wood pole structures; removing 4 four wood pole structures; and = furnishing and installing engine-generator set. We anticipate issing a = Invitation for Bids (IFB) in February 2002 and offers will be due 30 = days after the IFB is issued. The IFB will be issued in Adobe Acrobat = .pdf format on CD-ROM and will include digital photos of the existing = installations. Reclamation reserves the right to issue the IFB on paper = if it's determined to be in Reclamation's interest to do so. To receive = a CD-ROM for this solicitation offerors must mail a request to the = address above or fax a request to (208)378-5108. Include your firm's = name, address, phone, fax, email address, and whether you're interested = in being a prime contractor, a subcontractor, or a supplier. No phone = requests for the CD-ROM will be accepted. There's no charge for the = first copy of the CD-ROM. Additional copies available for a = nonrefundable fee of $15 per additional CD. A planholders list will be = available when the solicitation is issued and offerors may request it = via fax at (208)378-5108. Offerors will be evaluated on the suitability = of their proposed equipment, successful past performance of similar = requirements, the quality and capabilities of their proposed = manufacturing facilities, proposed installation schedule, and price, = among other factors. At this time, a site visit has not been scheduled = but the IFB will include the specific date, time and meeting location = for the site visit as well as providing a contact point for the site = visit. For this acquisition the small business size standard is $27 = million in gross annual receipts and the NAICS code is 234920. See = Numbered Notes 12 and 26.
