- Supervisor of Shipbuilding, C&R, USN, Bath, Maine intends to issue a sole source contract to John Crane-Lips Marine Propulsion Systems for a quantity of two (2) each MK9 Stern Tube Seal Overhaul Kits, P/N: JCL001045-000 Rev D. The proposed acquistion is being processed on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to 6.302-1 for delivery during Fiscal Year 2002. John Crane-Lips Marine Propulsion Systems has been identified as the only firm licensed to manufacture the Overhaul Kits configured for the DDG 51 Arleigh Burke Destroyer Class. This solicitation is for the intent to award a sole source contract and does not constitute a request for quote (RFQ).
