- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Harris Corporation, Rochester, New York. This contract is to procure (2) each portable radios, AN/PRC-117F that is a multi-band, multi-mission man pack radio that provides a continuous frequency of 30 ? 512 megahertz (MHz) that provides three different bandwidths embedded into one radio system weighing less than 16 pounds. No other radios that offer the three capabilities required in one system. No Request for Proposal is available for competitive bidding; however interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement within 15 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above. The announcement is not a request for competitive proposals; however all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22.
