Description
NA The M7 Nonelectric Blasting Cap is a device used for initiating high explosives. The Nonelectric Blasting Cap consists of a thin aluminum tube containing a base charge of PETN or RDX, a priming charge, and an ignition charge. The technical description of t his item is identified as: Cap, Blasting, Special Nonelectric, M7 NSN 1375013151335, DODAC 1376-Ml51, drawing 8830948, specification Mil-C-45469. this information can be requested from contracts specialist, Nina Mcdermott (309)782-0918 or dsn 793-0918, ema il mcdermottn@osc.army.mil. A respondent to this market survey should be able to show that they have adequate technical and manufacturing capacity and good past performance in the explosives processing industry. A respondent to this market survey should ha ve available a majority of the skills and facilities that are required to manufacture this item. If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria. Interested companies who feel they have the necessary cap abilities should respond by providing the government the following information; a brief summary of the company?s capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience; estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quan tities, the associated prices and the minimum procurement quantity (mpq) required for production. Information shall be submitted within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication to: US ARMY OPERATIONS SUPPORT COMMAND, ATTN: NINA MCDERMOTT, AMSOS-C CM-F, ROCK ISLAND, ILL 61299-6000. This market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the government. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
