Description
The final Draft version of the Air Carrier Provided Aviation Security Screening Services Other Transaction Agreement (OTA)(revision c, dated January 30, 2002) and revised, final Q&As presented on Friday Janaury 25, 2002 are attached hereto. ============================ JANUARY 31, 2002 For those Air Carriers that were not able to participate in the "PROPOSAL/ROM ESTIMATE KICK-OFF" meeting held at 1:00 pm on January 28, 2002, the FAA will host a similar meeting on January 31, 2002 at 1:00 pm at the FAA headquarters building. All Air Carriers providing screening services are welcome to attend this meeting. ============================ JANUARY 28, 2002 The carrier is requested to submit current data, supporting and substantiating a rough order magnitude (ROM)/estimate for the aviation security screening functions for U.S. airports for which air carriers currently provide the screening functions using their own personnel The supporting detail should be sufficient to establish the validity of the individual associated elements of direct and indirect cost directly tied to the screening function. Please segregate the ROM/Estimate by the following: U.S. Airport locations, screening locations, number of air carrier personnel performing screening functions, broken down by month for the base term of the draft other transaction agreement (OTA) as well as for the optional term specified in Article 4. Additionally, all levels of screening must be segregated from one another, e.g., checkpoint, gateway, baggage/ticket counter, catering, cargo, etc. The FAA has scheduled a proposal/ROM estimate kick-off meeting for Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at 1:00 in the FAA headquarters building. Tentatively in Room 5c. The Purpose of the ?kick-off? meeting will be to address the functional/financial elements of what is expected in the ROM/estimate. Please ensure the appropriate person from your air carrier is represented in the meeting. We can discuss any detailed questions you may have. An attempt will be made to ensure there is conference call capability. We want to make this a useful meeting to help expedite the submission of the respective air carrier ROMs/Estimates. Please submit your name, organization, title, phone number and e-mail address of the person or person(s) who will be attending this meeting.
