Description
This pre-solicitation notice is issued by DOT/NHTSA headquarters for and on behalf of our field office, hence all inquiries/correspondence should be addressed to Ms. Robin Esser at the phone number and address provided. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Vehicle Research and Test Center (VRTC) requires a quantity of three hundred (300) wide-band strain gage modules and custom ranging modules. The strain gage modules must have a sensitivity of 3 mV/V and a full-scale output of ?10V. The nonlinearity of the module cannot be more than ?0.01 % of full scale. The minimum bandwidth is 20 kHz. The ability to filter the input signal from 10 Hz to 20 kHz must be provided. Both the sensitivity and the filter cutoff frequency must be field changeable. The output accuracy must be at least 0.1 % of full scale. The power requirement is ? 15 V DC. The common mode rejection at 60 Hz must be 100dB. The differential input protection must be 30 V, continuous. The module must not be damaged if the output voltage is continuously shorted to ground. The zero and span adjustment range must be ?5% of span. The operating temperature range must be -25?C to +85?C. These modules must be 100% electrically and mechanically compatible with an Analog Devices 3B01 backplane. These modules will be utilized in the conduct of light vehicle testing. The Government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract with Analog Devices for the purchase of these strain gage modules. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is an RFP available. Interested parties believing they are capable of providing this requirement must respond to this notice in writing within fifteen (15) days after its appearance on the Fed Biz Opps site (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties must demonstrate proven capability to provide strain gage modules that fully comply with the performance requirements listed. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the government. In the absence of responses within the specified time herein, negotiations on a sole source basis will commence with Analog Devices.
