- Description
- The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division is seeking sources for ALCO 251 F-series, 16 cylinders, engine blocks. The design of the engine block must be the ALCO 251-F series with the NEW STYLE redesigned camshaft bearing supports. Each engine block must have an OEM Certification. The OEM Certification shall consist of a report for each engine block, linked by block serial number and signed by a representative of the OEM. The report shall detail the inspections performed and conclude that that the engine block is acceptable to be put into service AS IS, or identify all discrepancies requiring correction prior to being put into service. A quantity of eight (8) engines blocks is required. Potential sources must be able to provide written documentation that they can deliver the required quantity of engine blocks and an OEM approved certification.
