Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to establish a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement with BAE Systems Avionics Limited, Port Works, Rochester, Kent, ME1 2XX, England, for technical and sustaining engineering support for F-14 Digital Flight Control System (DFCS). BAE Systems formally GEC Marconi Avionics is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the Digital Flight Control System for the F-14 and is the only source that possesses the resources and in depth technical knowledge and technical data necessary to provide these services within the time required to meet F-14 operational requirements. The proposed BOA will allow delivery orders to be placed with BAE Systems to perform engineering studies, investigations and to maintain an engineering test station at the Contractor's facility for the DFCS System; perform Engineering Test Station repairs at a Navy facility; provide flight test configured software; provide fleet configured software; and provide delta functional configuration audit/physical configuration audit.
