Description: The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from interested parties to analyze mitochondrial and nuclear DNA from 110 striped bass brookstock tissue during Spring 2002. Proposed work is to establish genetic identity of approximately 90 striped bass brookfish to be used in 2002 hatchery production of fry and fingerlings for cooperative restoration stocking in Gulf of Mexico rivers. A total of 20 additional samples will be submitted to the contractor for quality control purposes. The required genetics analyses will be for a period of one year plus 4 option years.
