- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Ocean Service, Charleston, SC intends to issue a purchase order to Beckman-Coulter to supply a Multisizer 3 System, Coulter Counter, part number 6605697 and MS Etherlink start-up kit, part number 8321317. The intended procurement is for equipment for which the Government intends to acquire from one source under the authority of 41 U.S. C. 253 (c) (1). The Government knows of only one qualified source authorized to provide the equipment referenced. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this announcement will normally be considered solely for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to issue a purchase order to Beckman Coulter for the equipment required. Interest parties shall submit in writing; their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar products. Interested parties shall also submit a brief capability statement indicating their capability to provide this item. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to 816-426-7530, Attn: Ron Anielak. The NAICS number is 334516. Interested parties who fail to provide this information requested will be considered not responsive to this announcement and no information will be provided. All inquiries must be received no later than 15 calendar days from date of publication of this announcement. This is not a small business set aside. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guidelines set forth in FAR Part 13.
