Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Urschel Laboratories, Inc for the following equipment: Comitrol Processor Model 1700, all stainless steel construction, to be supplied with one microcut head assembly having 200 wear resistance blades, and a product impeller, motor w/brake, 15 horse power, and 200-208-230/460 V. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources that can meet and supply the above requirement shall submit written quotations by the above referenced response date. The SIC Code for this acquisition is 3826 and the NAICS Code is 421490. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The acquisition is being issued on a sole source basis because the contractor is the manufacturer of the equipment and there are no known resellers.
