Description
THIS SYNOPSIS WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED TO THE NAVY ELECTRONIC COMMERCE ONLINE (NECO) ON 7 NOVEMBER 2001. THIS IS ONLY A REPOSTING FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES. SEE MODIFICATION 0001 AND 0002. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure preventive and remedial maintenance for the Class A Electronic Security System (ESS) located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia. The contractor shall provide maintenance coverage to all of the security equipment (hardware and software) in all secure zones, and maintenance of the computer operating systems associated with the ESS. The contractor shall be required to maintain the ESS in accordance with both the OEM specifications and the Government requirements. Remedial maintenance coverage consists of 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including holidays with a 3-hour response time. ESS consists of equipment from such manufacturers as primarily Lenel with a combination of Cardkey, Aritech, Simplex, Systems Design & Integration (SDI), Service Data, and Wells Fargo. A Security Clearance is required. All technicians shall have at least two weeks of cumulative laboratory based training on OEM equipment and have at least 12 months of cumulative maintenance and installation experience on the OEM equipment. This procurement shall be prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12 and in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR 13.5 ? Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract with an anticipated period of performance of one base period of eight months with four one-year options. The estimated date of release of the solicitation is 15 November 2001. The solicitation will close 30 days after the solicitation issuance date. The Statement of Work will be provided with the solicitation. This is a Small Business Set-Aside with a NAICS code of 561621 with a size standard of $9 MIL which is the annual average gross revenue for the last 3 fiscal years. DoD will not longer award contracts to Contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
