- DESC: Synopsis: Anticipate a Firm Fixed Price type contract for two different types of Circuit Card Assemblies: 1) 7 ea of NSN 5998-01-386-3831NS P/N 601-1524-001 and 2) 18 ea NSN 5998-01-386-3850NS P/N 601625-001. Both circuit card assemblies gather satellite data for the 5-channel GPS receiver. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 15 Feb 2002 with the approximate response date of 15 Mar 2002. The request for solicitation should contain: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Cage Code Number, and Size of Business pursuant to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334418. All potential Offerors should contact Mr. Wilson for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, pertaining to this acquisition. Nothing in this notice contradicts other restrictions, identified in the synopsis notice or within the solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g., if this is a small-business set-aside, foreign sources may not participate as potential prime contractors but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors). The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
