Description
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering, and transportation necessary to perform all electrical, mechanical, structural, and testing requirements for comprehensive maintenance, repairs, alterations, installation, replacement, and inspections of any single and/or combination of parts and/or components of plumbing systems, heating systems (including low pressure steam piping systems), condensate pumps, sump pumps, booster pumps, fire hydrants and water distribution systems (fresh and salt water), sewage and storm water systems, and related utility systems and equipment at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and its annexes. This is a combination Firm Fixed Price/Indefinite Quantity contract. The Contract term is for a period of one (1) year. The Government has the option to extend the term of the contract services for additional periods of one to twelve months. The total contract term, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed 60 months. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 23511. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-sol) web site on or about March 1, 2002. All persons interested in a copy of the IFB may view and/or download the document at the following web site, http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors must register on the E-sol web site prior to downloading the solicitation to ensure notification of any/all changes/additional information related to the solicitation.
