Description
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision to upgrade the fuel systems at Tank 001, Narrow Cape LORAN Station Operations building; Tank N51, Golf Course Clubhouse; MWR/Golf Course Magazine (tanks 149-1 and 149-2); Tank N64, Firehall; Tank Z25, Fireburn Pit; and Tank 102, Self Help Warehouse, all located at USCG Integrated Support Command, KODIAK, ALASKA. Work includes but is not limited to: excavation; removal / disposal of tanks; installation of new fuel lines, tanks, fittings, piping, valves, transition sumps; sanding / painting; ladder / handrail installation; electrical; plumbing. Additional specifications are listed in the Statement of Work. Detailed requirements are separated by location then divided into civil, electrical, mechanical, and special requirements work. The contractor is responsible for field verification of all material sizes and quantities necessary for the complete installation of this project. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None, except as noted in Scope of Work. Performance Period is 28 days. SUBMITTALS DUE BEFORE AWARD include but are not limited to: manufacturer's catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., laboratory data, MSDS's, references / installer's qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: ASTM, CFR, applicable OSHA regulations, Corp of Engineers Safety Manual 385-1-1, health codes, and Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE MAILED ON APPROXIMATELY February 19, 2002. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. Estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed contract will be awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately February 19, 2002. Written quotes will be due on / about March 19, 2002.
