Description
NA The Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) is conducting this market survey to determine the interest and capability of industry to participate in a competitive acquisition for the LIFT, VEHICLE DRIVE-LINE COMPONENT, 2,000 POUND CAPACITY. Interested contractors should download via the internet the Description For Purchase, DFP-399 - REV D, located on the TACOM Solicitation page, DRAFT SOLICITATIONS, SPECIFICATIONS & SCOPES OF WORK (SOW): https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOWandSPECS/index.htm Reference Market Survey #200201, due 15 days from the date of this notice. After an interested company downloads a copy of DFP 399 they should read it thoroughly and answer the following questions related to the product: 1. After having read the purchase description thoroughly, can you (the company) say that you make a transmission lift that meets the requirements in the purchase description? 2. After having read the testing requirements in section 4 of the purchase description, can you (the company) say that you have tested your transmission lift in the manner described and that it passed all the testing? 3. After having read paragraph 3.5 of the purchase description can you say that you have experience with the vehicle components listed there and that your transmission lift will service these components without problems? 4. After having read the description for purchase did you understand that the driveline components listed in paragraph 3.5 are only a random sample of the Army' s components and that the transmission lift will be used to lift hundreds of other driveline c omponents that soldier mechanics will encounter in their work life? 5. Do you regularly manufacture and market a transmission lift that meets all the requirements and can you provide sales information that verifies this? This is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and no solicitation package exists at this time. This sources sought announcement is requested for informational purposes only. No cost data should be submitted. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis and submittals will not be returned to the sender. Responses to this Sources Sought synopsis, in the form of capabilities presentation submissions, will form the basis of the Government's de cision on whether to offer this requirement on an unrestricted basis under full and open competition.
