Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking potential sources for the production of the AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set for PMS411, the Surface Ship Undersea Warfare (USW) Combat System Program Office. PMS411 is responsible for the coordinated development of ASW Sensor suites and control systems for U.S. surface ships. Its main product is the AN/SQQ-89 Combat System, which provides an integrated capability for undersea warfare combat management, fire control, command and control, and to enable surface ships to detect, classify, localize, track, and engage hostile USW targets in both shallow (littoral) and deep water tactical environments. The AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set is an integral part of this system. This notice solicits expressions of interest for production of the AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set. Except for classified information, a complete technical data package (8006 -0001 Rev D, AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set) is available at https://www.muwinfodesk.navy.mil/srq-4/. This package is provided as a vehicle to assist all interested parties in identifying the knowledge and skills required in the production of the AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set. Specific expertise is required in the following areas: (1)Manufacture of microwave stripline assemblies (2)Manufacture of encapsulated high voltage power supplies (3)Manufacture and precision alignment of directional antenna assemblies (4)Closed loop quality feedback reporting systems (5)Microwave radio frequency design and engineering (6)Servo loop engineering and design (7)Precision aluminum machining and stress relieving techniques (8)Electrical and environmental testing of electronic systems (9)Interchangeability design requirements (10)TEMPEST testing requirements Keys to the successful prod uction of the AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set are historical experience in producing Microwave Transceivers for military applications, make/buy decisions on major subassemblies (e.g. Directional Antenna), and an effective higher level quality system (e.g. incoming material inspection and conformance testing). The estimated production workload will be a minimum of six AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Sets. This production effort would commence in FY02. Interested contractors shall submit their expressions of interest within thirty (30) days of the date of this announcement.
