- Description
- Sources Sought Announcement Synopsis for: Cylinder, Sleeve A02H4951 and Sleeve Plunger Valve A02H4945 assembly. This is a requirement for 200 each parts with a First Article of 4 each. The supplier of inspection services must be A2LA, ISO 9000 or equivalent certified and be able to show a successful history of past performance of inspection on this type of aircraft valve component. Certification documents will be required for all processes. The material is in accordance with QQ-S-763, 440C Stainless Steel. This spool valve configuration is a high precision machined part that consists of the assembly of these two items with a match/lap fit of-.0001-.0002 diametral clearance. These two items are approximately 10 inches long, each, with a Cylindricity requirement of .0001 on the Sleeve Plunger part bore (.5500 +.0005 -.0) by 6 inches deep that is concentric to an adjacent bo re of .0001 (.4892 +.0005 -.0) that is approximately 7 inches deep. OD and ID measurements of this part will require extensive experience with air gaging, a high accuracy form tester, and a climate controlled lab environment.
