Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to solicit and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a purchase order to Ocean Data Equipment Corp.(ODEC), Providence, RI. The solicitation is NAICS 334511, Search, Detection, Guidance, Aeronautical and Nautical Systems, Instruments, and Equipment. Size Standard 750 employees. The purchase order type will be firm fixed priced. The requirement is for the purchase of 12 transducers to replace defective equipment. The TR-109 trnsducer was designed and developed by ODEC. ODEC holds proprietary rights to all the electronic circuit boards, firmware, transducers, and software for this system. ODEC is the only source that has the full knowledge and documentation to replace and/or refurbish these transducers.
