- Contract to consist of managing and operating technical visual information (VI) services supporting the Defense Visual Information Center (DVIC) at March Air Reserve Base, California, which includes warehousing, duplication, packaging and shipping work transferred from the Joint Visual Information Services Distribution Agency (JVISDA), Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania. This is a commercial activity (A76) cost comparison for the Defense Visual Information directorate of the American Forces Information Service. The DVIC is the Defense Department?s central VI records center. It is responsible for the receipt, storage, preservation, reference service, retrieval, compilation, duplication, distribution, lifecycle management, and final disposition of VI records, including original and irreplaceable motion picture, video, still, audio, and mixed media imagery and productions depicting the DoD, its heritage, and its current activities, in support of military operations, training, intelligence activities, historical/legal documentation, and public/internal information functions. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) includes a full range of management and administrative services including, but not limited to: work control, scheduling, report preparation, establishing and maintaining records and inventories, quality control and administrative support for execution of the PWS. The contractor shall receive, inspect, inventory, store materials, research the holdings, and provide required customer support and technical services. The contractor shall also dispose record holdings in accordance with applicable Government directives and provide mail room services and CD-ROM multi-media compilations. Anticipated date of issuance of RFP is on or about 05 APR 2002, with proposals due on 16 MAY 2002 at 1400 hours Pacific Time. Basic performance period is anticipated to begin on or about 01 MAR 2003 through 28 FEB 2004, with four (4) one-year options. There will be an on-site walk-through/orientation scheduled at both March ARB CA 92518-2017 on 16 APR 2002 and Tobyhanna PA 18644 on 18 APR 2002. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 514120.
