Description
This is out for full and open competition The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees, NAICS Code is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the USCGC SENECA (WMEC-906), a 270 Foot Medium Endurance Cutter. All work will be performed at Homepier, located Boston MA.. The performance period will be 54 calendar days with a start date of 17 June 2002. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC SENECA (WMEC-906). This work will include, but is not limited to., (1)Renew Hatch, Door, (2)Renew CPP Pumps (3)Renew Hydraulic Oil Fill Piping (4)Inspect and Test Air Receivers and Relief Valves (5) clean, Inspect, and Test Hot Water Accumulator Tank and Hydro-Pneumatic tank (6)Overhaul Hangar Drive Mechanisms and Hangar Door (7) Modify Baseboard (8) Galley Renovation (9)Replace Deck Covering System Provide (10)Temporary Logistics (11)Preserve Auxiliary Machinery Space #1 Deck Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. At the present time, this acquisition will be issued under full and open competition procedures. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be provided free of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.) Drawings are also still available in hard copy. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The proposed contract listed here is set aside for small businesses only. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 20 February 2002. "ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
