- Description
- A sole source procurement is contemplated with Dayron Corporation in Orlando Florida. Corresponding NAICS Code is 332993. Dayron is the only known qualified source to perform this effort. Procurement of a limited additional quantity of FZU-55A/Bs and associated cabling is necessary to support the increase in the contractual requirement for JDAM testing. Dayron is the prime contractor for the FZU-55A/B and has the only operable manufacturing capability for them. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may submit statements of capability (SOC) demonstrating their ability to: (1) Demonstrate, technical knowledge of FZU-55A/B requirements for minimum operational performance that meets the FZU-55A/B specification requirements; (2) Adequate production facilities and production capabilities to produce and assemble the FZU-55A/B; and (3) Perform the FZU-55A/B production and meet the required delivery schedule. Responses will be evaluated based upon knowledge of the FZU-55A/B and the capability to deliver 33 qualified FZU-55A/Bs and 30 associated cables within the required delivery schedule. The closing date for submission of qualifications is 7 days after date of publication of this notice. Interested sources should contact Ms. Ouida A. Winters, AAC/WMGK, 102 West D Avenue, Suite 300, Eglin AFB, FL 32542-6808, (850) 882-9514, extension 2007. For further information on this synopsis concerning technical questions, contact Roy Suarez at extension 2237. An ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call Dr. Mario Caluda, at e-mail: caluda@eglin.af.mil. See numbered note 26.
