- NA This procurement will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisitions of Commercial Items, POC Contract Specialist Diana Lewis, and (502) 315-6206, and Technical POC Marty Wahking (502) 315-6280. GENERAL CONTRACT INFORMATION: The Army Corps of Engineers is proposing to procure Data Validation and Chemical Quality Assurance Reports (CQAR) services. Data validation is a process for evaluating, and assessing the raw data package form environmental an alytical laboratories. The validation must be conducted according to the most recent National Functional guidelines. The Guideline has to be modified to include the SW-846 QC Criteria for EPA methods. Data validation will include assessment of the whole raw data package from the laboratory and preparation of the Data Review and Validation Report. The degree of data assessment will depend on the project specifics; however, it will consist mainly on a review of 100% of the data, and 10% definitive data va lidation. The validation will be conducted on the Primary Analytical data, and if a CQAR is also part of an order, will be conducted concurrently with CQAR preparations. This request for quotes (RFQ) is primarily for military projects but could include c ivil works projects within the Great Lakes & Ohio River Division?s mission boundaries. The Government intends to make three (3) awards from this RFQ. THIS IS AN 8(a) COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. NAICS 541690 ($5mil). The period for each contract is a maximum o f one (1) year from date of award to 31 December 2002, with an option to extend four (4) additional option year periods with an additional $200,000 for each period the option is exercised. Project will be awarded by individual task orders not to exceed $1 50,000 with a minimum of $1,000, and with the maximum contract value being $200,000 per year, total contract capacity is $1,000,000. The Government intends to exercise their right to exercise an unused contract option before the expiration of the base con tract period (or preceding option period), if the contract amount for the base period (or the preceding option period) has been exhausted or nearly exhausted. The government intends to award these REQUEST FOR QUOTES based on BEST VALUE to the Government. Factors to be considered are Technical Ability, Past Performance, Regulatory compliance, including quality control and price. This RFQ has an approximate issued date of 19 February 2002 and an approximate due date of 11 March 2002 @ 4:30 p.m. Local Ti mes.
