NA NOTE: Any prospective bidder/offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation must register on our website at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from th e internet after solicitation issuance. Plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. CD?s will be issued to prime contractors and plan rooms on a first come first serve basis with only fifty (50) CD?s being issued. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. It is the contractor?s responsibility to check our website at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance. For additional information or assistance, please contact Linda Elliott, Contract Specialist, (912) 652-5076. Description of Work: Construct a Cr iminal Investigation (Forensic) Laboratory. This work includes construction of an approximately 88,000 sq. ft. state of the art forensic laboratory to include laboratory, administrative, indoor firing range and evidence-storage areas, break area and locke r/shower facilities, and mission support areas such as a hazardous waste holding facility and a training conference room. A building management system, including fire protection and security systems will be installed. An intrusion detection system will b e installed. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, parking storm drainage and sanitary sewer, information systems and site improvements. Additionally, this work includes the operation and maintenance of the laboratory for a period of 5 years following construction completion. The estimated cost of the project is between $25,0000,000.00 to $100,000,000.00. Network Analysis will be required. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis pursua nt to the Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about February 19, 2002 on the internet at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ .
