- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for eight (8) each Comark Corporation ADS SENSOR INTERFACE UNITS, Part Number 51-27840-001, on a sole source basis to Comark Corporation, 93 West Street, Medfield, MA 02052. This acquisition is not suitable for full and open competition because only the Comark units provide the required compatability. The SIU is a custom system that provides an interface between the engine control computer and the LCAC sensors. The Sensor Interface Unit (SIU) being procured is required to be compatible with existing Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) equipment. No other Sensor Units will provide the required compatibility. Note 22 applies.
