Description

Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation notice. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service intends to enter into a firm-fixed price contract. This procurement will be awarded based upon low price and a determination of brand name or equivalent. The Government will award this RFQ resulting from this combined/synopsis solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this procurement will be most advantageous to the Government's price. This procurement is unrestricted with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 235310. This request is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) SP4410-02-Q-7004. The successful contractor must provide all necessary management, quality control, labor, materials, and equipment required to install fiber optic cabling for a DRMS consolidated computer room. The fiber optic cabling needs to be removed and replaced with new cable. When the removal of the old cable, the cable needs to be properly disposed of. *NOTE: A site visit would be beneficial in order to obtain a more sufficient quote. Attachment 1 is a copy of the requirements for DRMS Computer Room Cable Project with a room diagram of where the cables need to be installed. The following clauses will be included in the award: FAR 52.212-1 (Oct 2000), (b)(11), Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, language within this clause regarding submittal of the SF 1449 is not applicable to the request for Quotation. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Dec 2001); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Item (Dec 2001); FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (Dec 2001). The following clauses under 52.212-5 will apply: (b)(11, (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (24), (c) (1) and (2). The following clauses under DFAR apply: 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration and 252.225-7001, Buy American Act & Balance of Payments Program, Wage Determination No. 1994-2277, Rev. No. 14 (attached) is applicable to this RFQ. Copies of the FAR clauses can be found on the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil.
