- The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism intends to negotiate with the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, Orangeburg, New York, for a two year contract entitled ?The Role of Cannabinoid Receptors in Ethanol Tolerance.? The project will investigate how endogenous cannabinoids and their receptors contribute to developing ethanol dependence in mice, specifically the effects of receptor antagonists on chronic ethanol tolerance and the cross tolerance between receptor agonists and ethanol. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research is the only known source with the necessary resources and expertise to conduct this exploratory research. See Numbered Note 22.
