NA THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. Synopsis, Submission No. 50W7I3, was published 7 September 2001 to provide Solid Waste Management for Fort Hood, Texas is hereby cancelled in its entirety and superceded by t his sources sought synopsis. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine the existence of potential qualified 8 (a) sources certified through the Small Business Administration (SBA) capable in providing solid waste management for Fort Hood, Texas. Reponses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make an appropriate acquisition decision whether or not to set this requirement aside for 8(a). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111 with a size standard of $10 million. III Corps and Fort Hood Contracting Command is seeking 8 (a) sources with the capability of providing solid waste management to include all refuse collection and disposal for the cantonment area; all pickup; segregation; an d delivery of recyclables from the cantonment areas to the Fort Hood Recycle Center; all cleaning of grease traps and collection of grease trap waste from food service facilities with delivery to the compost center; complete operation of the Fort Hood Comp ost Center; and complete operation of the Fort Hood Landfill including construction and providing professional services associated with landfill operations. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price requirements type contract with a base period an d four one year option periods. Responses to this notice must include company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, cage code, size of business pursuant to NAICS code, and proof of SBA registration. Sources must demonstrate managem ent and technical experience on similar acquisitions, specifically addressing the requirements specified in this synopsis. All interested parties must submit brief qualification statements demonstrating their capabilities to the following questions. 1. S tate current and past experience in Landfill Operations and/or specialized experience performing similar type of work of this nature. 2. State your capability of complying with federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations and procedures. 3. List your most recent and relevant Government and/or commercial contracts (not to exceed five) to include name of the contracting activity, point of contact/contracting officer, phone number, contract type, period of performance and a brief description of the work.
