Description
The U.S. Army Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) has a requirement to procure three non-developmental changes to the CH-47D Flight Simulator located at Camp Humphries, Korea. It is the intent that these changes will be awarded to the L3 Communications, Link Simulation and Training. These changes will be incorporated as a modification to Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Contract N61339-99-C-0046 - EUSA Korea Upgrade. The three changes, upgrades T55-GA-714A Engine (w/FADEC), Engine Air Particle Separator, and Night Vision Compatibility, will require the necessary hardware and software fabrication, integration, testing, installation, and document changes to the baseline CH-47D Flight Simulator located at Camp Humphries, Korea. All efforts shall be performed in accordance with Statement of Work EUSA CH-47D ECP SOW -001 dated 15 June 2000. This effort will also include the procurement of all required testing, operator/ maintainer training, spare/repair parts, tools and test equipment, and contractor logistic support. It is essential for mission accomplishment that the training system changes be fielded concurrently with the changes to the actual tactical equipment. Due to the date of fielding of the tactical equipment, the required delivery of these FS modifications is 30 August 2002. This will require that production start as soon as possible. As the original developer and the current provider of the CH-47D trainer upgrades, and the provider of the same three trainer modifications to the CH-47D trainer at Fort Campbell, KY; L3-Communications is the only known source that possesses the required knowledge, data, and software necessary to meet the requisite delivery date. This is not a request for proposal. No RFP is available! See Note 22.
