Description

Untank, Test & Advise, and Repair GE 20MVA transformer, incl transportation to/from Naval Station Bremerton, WA. Suspected interior arcing, cause unknown, indicated by accumulation of acetylene gas in transformer oil. Reassembly and refinishing of the entire unit substation (transformer and associated equipment) required. All repairs shall be completed and unit returned to Naval Station Bremerton within 180 days after contract award. This is a commercial acquisition under FAR Part 12. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil, on or about 25 February 2002. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website, and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available for this procurement, and facsimile proposals/quotes will not be accepted.
