Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). STATEMENT OF WORK DISMANTELING AND REINSTALLATING OF OFFICE CUBICLES 1.0 SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and tools necessary for the dismantling, and reinstalling of 30 each, office cubicles. This work also includes disconnecting/reconnecting and cleaning of all electrical, data and telephones lines. Contractor shall also provide personnel and equipment necessary to transport cubicles from building 3 to building 1. 1.1. LOCATION OF PROJECT: Project is located at DFAS San Bernardino site, 1111 E. Mill Street, San Bernardino CA. Building 1 and 3 are located in same compound and within 200 feet distance from each other. 2.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 2.1 The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with local City, County State and Federal Codes and Regulations applicable to the work being performed. 2.2 Electrical Work -A licensed certified electrician in the State of California shall perform work under this Section. A. Electrical Lines, disconnect/hookup - Contractor shall disconnect power pole or base feed for each cubicle. Disconnected electrical lines shall be secure in accordance with National Electric Code, (NEC) requirements and placed above suspended ceiling tiles, so as not to protrude into office space. 2.3 Data and Telephone Lines, disconnect/hookup - Contractor shall secure disconnected data and telephone lines and place them above suspended ceiling tiles, so as not to protrude into office space. Hookup of new data and telephone lines shall be done in accordance to standards of the industry. 2.4 Unicor System furniture: Cubicle, dismantling - Contractor shall dismantle cubicles identified by the Government. Twenty Five cubicles are located on the first floor of building 3, Southwest Wing and five cubicles are located on the second floor of building 3 Reinstallation of cubicles shall be performed in accordance with approved layout of cubicles and manufacturer's instructions. All cubicles will be relocated to the first floor of bldg 3 in the Northeast Wing. 2.5 The Contractor shall be an approved Unicor System Furniture Installer. 2.6 The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to ensure against damage to existing structures and Government property. Any damages to such shall be repaired or replaced, as approved by the Contracting Officer at no additional cost to the Government. 3.0 GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: 3.1 The Government will notify Contractor of date to begin move at least 7 working days in advance. 3.2 The Government will identify in advance all cubicles that are to be dismantled and reinstalled by the Contractor. 3.3 The Government will review and approve submittals within 48 hours after Contractor provides submittals to the Contracting Officer. 4.0 CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 4.1 Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment and tools to execute work in a timely manner. 4.2 Contractor shall execute work before/after working hours and between the days of Friday and Monday, so as not to interfere with program operation of the DFAS facility. 4.3 Contractor shall submit to the Contracting Officer Representative a sketch of new cubicle layout for approval prior to beginning installation of cubicles. 5.0 PREWORK MEETING: The Contracting Officer's Representative and the Contractor will meet prior to beginning of work, to discuss operation procedure and schedule of work.
