Description
MAILING ADDRESS: <P> FAA/William J. Hughes Technical Center T&A Bldg. Contracts Branch ACT-51A Atlantic City International Airport, NJ 08405 <P> The William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC), Atlantic City International Airport, NJ is seeking qualified construction contractors for the construction of three indoor-outdoor firing ranges and related sitework to be located at the WJHTC near Atlantic City, NJ. The WJHTC will contract with those contractors based on their demonstrated competence and qualifications. In order to demonstrate their ability, contractors shall prepare a proposal addressing the following criteria. Those offerors found to be acceptable in past performance and key personnel as stated below will be provided the plans and specs, required to participate in a site visit and afforded the opportunity to submit a proposal. <P> The general scope of the requirement is: provision of three Indoor Outdoor Firing Ranges, each with nominal exterior dimensions of 162 feet by 210 feet (approximately 34,000 gross square feet each), and associated sitework and site utilities. The site utilities shall include, but not be limited to, electric power, potable water lines, fire protection water lines, and gravity sanitary sewer lines, provision for communication lines, site lighting and related work. The sitework shall include, but not be limited to, coarse and fine grading, excavation, backfill and compaction, landscaping, paving, stormwater management, and related work. The work for the ranges shall include, but not be limited to, concrete, concrete masonry units, metal wall and roof systems, steel trusses, and steel framing, doors and hardware, paint, provision of target systems, plumbing, HVAC, building power and building lighting. The anticipated project cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00! . <P> The technical criteria is: <P> a. Past Performance from 3 projects ? This factor considers the quality of work and depth of relative experience based upon successful completion of similar projects. This past performance shall consist of construction of multiple buildings with major site utilities, site work, masonry, structural steel trusses, mechanical and electrical elements. The buildings must have a minimum of 30,000 square feel of space and have been completed within the last 5 years or are ongoing. Ongoing projects that are submitted as references must be at or near the 80% completion level to be considered for evaluation. The construction projects may be for federal, state of commercial clients, however the overall scope required the contractor to coordinate various trades performing work simultaneously. <P> For each project cited provide: <P> ? Project name and location ? Description in detail (with sufficient information to determine similar) ? Construction cost (include original award amount, completed construction cost or current contract value) ? Owner (contact name, current addresses and telephone number and e-mail address (if known) ? Tenants/Users (contact name, current addresses and telephone number) <P> b. Key Personnel: Key personnel proposed shall have worked under the projects submitted under past performance (a) above and shall have performed substantially the same role as proposed for the indoor/outdoor ranges. <P> The key personnel are: 1. Project Manager 2. Field Superintendent 3. Quality Control Manager <P> References must be capable of providing first hand information to substantiate the satisfactory performance of the key personnel as well as the similarity of the referenced projects. <P> To be considered acceptable, each offeror must submit 3 past projects which meet the criteria above with the corresponding key personnel. <P> Deadline for responses to this announcement must be received by 4:00 pm EST, February 12, 2002. <P>
