Description
MT PRA-LIBI 10(1), LITTLE BIGHORN BATTLEFIELD ROAD, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, Bighorn County, Montana. Initial notice posted to FedBizOpps on January 29, 2002. BY ISSUE OF THIS MODIFICATION WE ANNOUNCE THIS SOLICITATION AS FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. Presolicitation notices are being sent to firms on this agency?s mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis. This project will be bid with two schedules (Sched. A and Sched B.). The work consists of 8.84 km of cold in-place recycling of existing pavement surface, an asphalt pavement overlay, and turnout construction. The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; excavation (Sched. B 18 cu m); unclassified borrow (Sched B. 50 cu m); roadway obliteration (Sched. A 115 sq m) (Sched. B 45 sq m); riprap lined ditch (5 m Sched. B); minor crushed aggregate (Sched. A 430 t) (Sched. B 200 t); recycled aggregate course (275 sq m Sched. B); hot asphalt concrete pavement (Sched. A 9,800 t) (Sched B 100 t); asphalt tack coat (Sched. A 29 t) (Sched. B 1 t); continuous cold recycled asphalt base course (Sched. A 58,000 sq m); 0.6 m long x 450 mm dia. culvert extension (Sched. B one ea); concrete curb (Sched. B 240 m); topsoil placement (Sched. B 160 sq m); permanent pavement markings (Sched. A 3,600 m) (Sched. B 500 m); flagger (Sched. A 540 hrs.); pilot car (Sched. A 100 hrs.); and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 86 km southeast of Billings, Montana. Work shall be completed by September 30, 2002. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance, and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at prime rate.
