Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotation (DTCG87-02-Q-643043) incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-02. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333924. The small business size standard is 750 employees. The contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The procurement will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract. Provide one 8.5-ton lift capacity carrydeck crane. Basic crane shall have an 18-foot or greater lift radius at 2 tons and a carrydeck weight transport capacity of at least 6 tons. Additional items to be included with the crane are: enclosed cab with door and all around windows (left, right, open); windshield wiper; windshield defroster; cab heater; suspension seat; dome light; diesel engine with engine block heater and cold start aid; four wheel steer; cab operator guard; amber strobe light; boom mounted work light package; rear pintle hitch; running gear for maximum rated lift, hook block, head ache ball. The crane is to be delivered to the USCGC MAPLE moorings, Sitka, Alaska prior to 1 June 2002. Three known complying manufacturers are Shuttlelift, Grove and Broderson.
