Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Request For Quotation, #F32604-02-Q0002. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. (iv) Notice: This solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification is 327390?Other Concrete Product Manufacturing. The size standard is 500. (v) Items to be Procured: 685 each Barriers, roadway ?Jersey Barriers? 10 feet long, 24 inches wide at the bottom, 6? wide at the top, 32 inches tall, 10 inch radius. Weight: 3750 pounds. No: 4 rebar in top and bottom of barrier, two loops on both sides so sections may be pinned together. Must be able to be moved with a forklift. Barriers shall be new or used with the following conditions for used barriers. The following used conditions will not be accepted: 1. Concrete chips exceeding one inch in diameter with no more than four chips per barrier. 2. Any cracks or fractures on barriers. 3. Connecting bars that do not function according to original manufacturing plans or connector bar loops that are not intact. 4. Forklift holes that are not properly placed at the barrier bottom or deemed unusable due to wear. 5. Graffiti or unsuitable markings. (vi) There is no additional description for the preceding line item. (vii) Required delivery shall be on or before 1 May 02. Place of delivery shall be 5 SFS/SFOST, 330 Tanker Trail, Minot AFB, ND 58705-5012; FOB Destination. (viii) Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial Items (OCT 2000) is hereby incorporated by reference with no addenda to the provision. (ix) Evaluation will be based on price and price related factors. (x) Include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items (FEB 2001), with quote. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items (May 1999), applies to this acquisition with no addenda to this clause.
