Description

This is a Sources Sought Announcement. The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA), a new Federal agency, is seeking potential commercial sources to provide leasing of automobiles, particularly sedans, station wagons, vans and utility vehicles. Each automobile shall be furnished with all the necessary equipment for its lawful operation and equipped with windshield washers, spare tire and wheel, heater and defroster. The Executive Order 13031, Federal Alternative Fueled Vehicle Leadership, requires that Federal agencies comply with the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPAct), which states that 75 percent of all vehicles acquired must be alternative fueled vehicles. It should be noted, if at any time any of the vehicles provided for lease are not Alternative Fueled Vehicles and they become available for lease as this type vehicle, the contractor shall make the vehicle(s) available. The Government will renegotiate the price for all Alternative Fuel Vehicles. The estimated period of performance will be from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003, with four one-year options, subject to the availability of funds. There is no solicitation available at this time. All interested parties should submit their responses by February 28, 2002 to the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency, 633 Indiana Avenue, NW, Suite 880, Washington, DC 20004, attention: Patty Willett. All responses should include a list of all automobiles available for leasing and reference the make, model and features of each vehicle.
