- Pursuant to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Clause 3.2.1.3.12, the FAA hereby announces award of a modification to an existing contract with Systems Management Incorporated (SMI) to provide a transition of the Atlanta ASOS Controller Equipment - Information Display System (ACE-IDS) IDS-4 software to IDS-5 software. This effort will include: 1. Establishment of connectivity between ACE-IDS workstations existing at the Atlanta TRACON with SA-IDS workstations existing at the Macon and Columbus, Georgia Control Towers. 2. Minimal hardware changes necessary to support implementation of IDS-5 software. 3. Replacement of three monitors in the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport Air Traffic Control Tower, relocation of monitors removed from Hartsfield Tower to the Macon and Columbus Control Towers, and installation of IDS processors to drive those relocated monitors. The estimated cost is $320,000.00 a! nd a six-week delivery schedule is anticipated.
