Description

This acquisition is being offered for full and open competition subject to the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code 238210 (effective 22 Feb 2002), with a size standard of $12.0 Million and a Standard Industrial Classification of 1731. Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Woman-Owned Small Businesses, Disabled Veteran Small Businesses, and HUBZone certified Businesses are encouraged to participate. This project is located at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming and involves the repair of existing pad mount medium voltage gear by replacement with new pad mount medium voltage gear. The basic bid involves the demolition of existing and installation of new pad-mounted switchgear. Bypass gear will be installed prior to demolition. Existing concrete support structures will be removed and replaced. The project will replace one 7 bay switchgear package and 2 single bay switchgear packages, located in 3 separate areas on base. The performance period for the resultant construction contract awarded as a result of this solicitation is 180 calendar days. There is no winter exclusion period for this project. The cost magnitude for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Issue date for this solicitation in anticipated to be on or about 27 Feb 2002, with a closing date 30 calendar days after issuance. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal under Performance Pride Trade-Off (PPT). Under PPT, past performance will be evaluated. This solicitation will be available only via the Internet at the following address: www.eps.gov.
