- NA The U.S. Army Communications Command (CECOM)intendes to procure a Sole Source 5 Year Requirements Type Service Contract that includes: redesign of obsolete components, services and materials for the inspection, teardown, evaluation and analysis, overhaul, repair, maintenance, and modification, preserviation and marking of the mission essential components of the AN/ALQ-136(V) 1,2, and 5 family of Counter- measures Set with associated depot support, and update of technical manuals and provisioning data. The CMS is used on the Apache helicopter AH-64A/D. The Government anticipates a Sole Source to ITT Industries, Inc., Avionics Division. ITT Avionics, the original manufacturer, is the only known source for the repair and/or overhaul of these items. It is anticipated that some competitive subcontracting opportunities may be available as a result of this repair activity; however the extent cannot presently be determined. Far Clauses 52.244-3 (T&M and Labor Hours Contracts) and 52.244-5 (Competition in Subcontracting) will be included in the Solicitation and subsequent Contract. The Government expects to issue the Request for Proposal: 05 March 2002; and the scheduled closing is: 29 March 2002.
