In an effort to accommodate the Army's and ASCP's changing environment, ASCP has determined, in coordination with the CECOM Acquisition Center-Washington (CAC-W), that it is in the best interest of ASCP's mission to initiate an enterprise solutions contrac t vehicle. This action is a result of Army customer requirements for enterprise level solutions, and it will allow for efficiency and flexibility in the acquisition of network related equipment and solutions. At this time the following requirements will be consolidated: Army's Consolidated Enterprise Solution-1 (ACES-1) Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), DAAB07-97-A-Y002 (Computer Sciences Corporation); DAAB07-97-A-Y003 (Electronic Data Systems Corporation); and DAAB07-97-A-Y005 (UNISYS Corporation), and Contract # DAAB15-99-D-0001 Infrastructure Support-1 (IS-1) (Telos Corporation). The Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES) contract vehicles will provide commercial items departmental- and enterprise-wide 32-bit servers, enterprise storage devices, managed desktops and portables, operating systems, peripherals, local and w ide area networking infrastructure (hardware & software), associated documentation, engineering and support services (classified and unclassified), enterprise services, equipment maintenance, system upgrades (to maintain the managed environment), training, leasing, and consumables to meet world-wide Army requirements. The purpose of the IT equipment and support services is to integrate, modernize, and refresh the existing sustaining base architecture while providing standardized interfaces. ASCP and CAC-W are currently in the initial acquisition planning of this consolidation. The intent of the acquisition is to award multiple Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contracts. The contracts will be open for ordering to all Army, other DoD a gencies, contractors performing DoD contracts (IAW FAR 51.101), and other civilian agencies. A draft schedule and market research questionnaire for the acquisition is scheduled for release via the Federal Business Opportunities Page and the Army Single Face to Industry Interactive Business Opportunities Page, https://abop.monmouth.army.mil, on or about February 20, 2002.
