Description

The government intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to Contract F10603-96-D-0001 with National General Supply, Inc., 410 14th St SW, Great Falls, Montana 59404-2288, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, material, supervision and other items necessary to operate the Contractor Operated Civil Engineer Supply Store (COCESS) at Mountain Home AFB, ID. The purpose of this modification is to continue services until a new competitive contract can be awarded. A new solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 25 February 2002. This modification will extend the contract for the period 31 May 02 through 31 August 02, at which time a new contract should be in place. The current contractor is the only source available to provide the required services for a three-month period, because of the extensive amount of materials required to support the Civil Engineers in maintaining base facilites. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22.
