Description
The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential contractors capable of providing one or more of the following equipment: 1) MICRO RAMAN that measures vibration frequencies uniquely identifying nano particle kind, size, and structure. 2) Scanning Tunneling Microscope that images particles from nanometer size to atomic size and can also measure electronic structure. 3) Laser Scattering Device that measures particle size. 4) Laser Ablation that produces nanoparticles and nanotubes with controllable size and size distributions for producing lab specimens. 5) Scanning Mobility Particle Analyzer that measures size, coating, and surface properties. 6) High Vacuum System that is required as a peripheral system for the production and characterization of nanoparticles and their products. 7) Inert Atmosphere Glove Box that is essential for handling non-passivated powders. 8) Parr High Pressure Vessel that is necessary for supercritical fluid coating of nano aluminum particles and crystallization. 9) Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) that provides accurate information related to analysis of ultra-fine powders in terms of primary particle and aggregate size, particle morphology, size distribution, surface area, total pore volume and surface layer thickness. Interested firms who feel that they are capable of supplying any of the above equipment are invited to indicate their interest by providing specifications, brochures, and/or drawings within two weeks of the date of this notice to US Army TACOM-ARDEC, ATTN: Brett Reddingius, AMSTA-AR-WEE, Bldg. 3022, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, email: bredding@pica.army.mil. In addition, please provide the company?s name, address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, size of business (small/large) and country represented. This is a market survey for information only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized by the US Army in developing its acquisition approach for future equipment buys.
