Description

NUWC Division Newport intends to place a Sole Source (SAP) procurement to Mercer Engineering Research Center in Warner Robins, GA for two Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) System Analysis Models (ASAMs) to support testing and integration of the ADF with other systems on 688 Class Submarine. Mercer Engineering Research Center is the only known source with the history for providing System Analysis Modules. The ASAM must use the current High Probability of Intercept (HPI) System Analysis Model (HSAM) as its development base. Since the original development was conducted as a prototype effort there is only limited documentation available on the HSAM system. Documentation that does exist does not provide the needed details to support the design and production of the ASAM. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
