Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia, PA intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis a 5-Axis CNC High Speed Milling Machine for the Naval Foundry & Propeller Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia. The machine shall be a new, computerized numerically controlled (CNC), high-speed spindle, 5-Axis (minimum) milling machine with a fixed table and vertical ram with two (minimum) rotary axes on its lower end. The machine shall be designed for roughing operations and high spindle speed machining of parts of steel, nickel-aluminum-bronze and high strength alloys with a combination part and fixture weight of 20,000 pounds. The machine shall accommodate work pieces with a machining envelope of 180"X100X45". It is intended to award a Firm Fixed Price supply type contract. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with Far Part 12. The applicable Federal Supply Class/Service (FSC/SVC) Code is 3417. The solicitation will require the submission of a technical proposal and a price proposal. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered by the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia.
