- Description
- NASA/MSFC plans to extend the Operations and Maintenance of Propellants, Pressurants and Calibration Services (PP&C) contract to Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. on a sole source basis. The PP&C contract furnishes the necessary management, personnel, equipment and materials (not otherwise provided by the Government) to operate and maintain the propellant and pressurant generating system, storage and distribution systems and provide for the management and operation of the calibration facility at MSFC. Safe, efficient operations of the facilities, as well as timely support to users, are key factors in the work under the contract. The work can be broken down into the following elements: Management, Engineering and Planning, Operation and Maintenance, Valve and Component Refurbishment, Certification of Pressure Systems Calibration and Program Support. The contract completion date is May 31, 2002 and service will be continued up to one year through May 31, 2003. This extension will be issued pursuant to contract clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services to allow the Government to complete the follow-on acquisition now identified acquisition now identified as the Operations and Maintenance of Propellants, Pressurants and Calibration Services (PP&C) contract to Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. Written responses must be received in this office within 15 days after publication of this notice. No award will be based on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
