- The USDA, Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Sarasota, Fl, intends to procure a conveyorized tunnel washer to wash up to 600 trays (30" X 30" X 1") per hour. Firm fixed price, f.o.b. destination. Submit faxed quotations to "Purchasing Section," at (612) 370-2136, Attention Joanne Mann. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 28 , 2002, BY 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. SPECIFICATIONS: Conveyorized tunnel washer to wash up to 600 aluminum framed polyfiber-type screen trays (30" x 30" x 1")/hour, minumum of 300 trays per hour; drain pre-wash, recirculating wash; ambient temperature water for wash and rinse; conveyor, emergency stop buttons; blow-off dryer at ambient temperature to remove majority of excess water after final rinse; factory wired and tested prior to shipment; hard conduit wired; quote must be for tunnel washer, delivery and installation.
