Description

The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to California Business Systems, 130 Produce Avenue, Suite B, South San Francisco, CA 94080, to dismantle, move, reconfigure, and reassemble a hi-density filing system. The hi-density filing system was originally purchased from California Business Systems in 1997. The office is moving locations and the system will not fit in the new location in its current configuration. The reconfiguration will require the addition of new components that must match the original equipment. This hi-density filing system is specialized equipment and it is highly unlikely that another contractor would have the necessary components and labor skills to dismantle it and reconfigure it (with additional components) to accommodate the new office space. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a competitive request for quotation and the Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources within 10 days after the publication of this synopsis. See numbered note 22.
