- Description
- The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove approximately five miles of wood pole bypass transmission line, construct twenty-five lattice steel towers, including foundations; furnish and install insulators, overhead groundwires, and conductor. Steel for structures will be Government-furnished. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. Estimated construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This solicitation will be issued on or about March 7, 2002. The projected bid opening date is on or about April 9, 2002. All work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. All requests for the solicitation should be in writing and may be mailed to the Western Area Power Administration, 200 4th Street SW, Huron, SD 57350-2474 or faxed to (605) 353-9213. NOTE: A limited number of copies of this solicitation will be available through various planrooms. Information hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm (CST) Monday through Friday.
